"Da!"

Gav is nineteen months old. I can't believe he's that old. He has his own little language, but he does say some words pretty well. "Yes" is not one of them, but I love his "Da!" for his answer 'yes' to anything. At bedtime they read "Green Eggs and Ham", and in the course of the book they ask, "Do you like green eggs and ham?" With all earnestness and sincerity he looks at us with his innocent eyes and says, "Da!" (he doesn't even like eggs, let along green ones!) It's super adorable.

I love the language of children. They may not be able to speak the same way we do, but they sure can express themselves in whatever mood they are in. I am grateful for their innocent expressions - all of it, every one of them - it's one of the most beautiful languages in the world.
