Dutch oven cooking

Our final emergency prep class took place tonight. Pat cooked cherry crisp in one of our Dutch ovens in their backyard. One of the Dutch ovens we inherited from my dad, the other we bought. We've been cooking with them for over twenty years (borrowing my dad's.) We even cook a mean roast dinner by putting one in the oven. I am grateful for Dutch ovens and how wonderful food cooks in them. They are wonderful for emergency preparedness.
